SPAM Filtering
The volume of SPAM continues to increase. Every day your Exchange server receives hundreds of messages sent to bogus e-mail mailboxes.
Last year CCS and several of our customers, used TrendMicro's SPAM Prevention Solution (SPS) to reduce the level of unwanted SPAM. This year, due to the increased volume of SPAM, we changed to a SPAM filtering serivce. By usnig this service, the messages are filtered before they clog our Internet bandwidth, increase the load on our server, and fill our mailboxes with unwanted messages. While the cost of the filtering service is nearly identical to Trend's SPS, we believe that pre-filtering messages before delivery is a better solution.
In September, we evaluated several SPAM filtering solutions, including Postini and MX Logic, both of whom have caused problems for some of our clients. In the end, the most manageable, and one of the most effective services, is also one of the most cost effective. In October we thoroughly tested Katharion on our e-mail and we are now resellers. Our recommendation to all of our clients is: Call CCS today and sign-up for the Katharion SPAM filtering service.
Since we have a large number of clients, we are able to group everyone and obtain lower costs. Aliases, sub-domains, and distribution groups are included at no additional cost. Filtering will typically begin within 48 hours after you contact us.
